Here is a great project you can do for any home. Get a card frame to display that special card you have kept or if you have one that compliments your decor this is a great way to use it. You can also get shadow box frames and beautiful decoupage to add to your home decor.

You can make most any shape using paper and then tying it with string to get the shape you want and then covering with paper mache to get the final finished result.

A paper mache horse is an excellent example of a rustic or western decor project. A project like this is easier than you think. Give it a try. You can do any shape you want. I used shredded paper mache on top for a stone look.
	You can see from the bottom that the horse was made with newspaper and then tide with a string to get the shape of a horse before the paper mache was added. A project like this would add that rustic flair to your decor.

When I bought this pedestal it was flat plain old white.

I wiped it with a dark stain and let it sit for a little while before wiping some of the stain off. I just added and removed the stain until I was happy with the look.

I then let it dry overnight before spraying it with clear satin lacquer. Now it looks old and much better.
