Rustic Home Makeover
I have been working on my home with my
husband trying to get a more rustic and inviting look and feel.
We believe the house to be well over a hundred years old. The main house is
approximately 40x40 and was built before indoor plumbing so there was an
addition added for two baths and another bedroom sometime over the years.
| Here is the house on move in day. We arrived the night
before, slept on the floor and then started unloading the
trailer the next morning. The trim and porch were painted a
horrible fuchsia color. |
 |
I painted the front porch and trim white to match
the house and painted the brick/block under the house beige. This
was a start to tame the colors a little until I could paint the
colors I wanted.
 |
| Getting closer to getting my rustic home.
I want to screen the porch and do a lot more decorating to
get more of a rustic feel. |
 |
| The porch is coming together well. I
think wicker, metal table, and rustic lamp add to the
rustic feel I'm going for. I will share more rustic home decor ideas
as I finish projects around my now rustic home. |
